Brief History
Masjid as siddique (R.A) primarily started its function as prayer room (musallah) from 1st ramadan (1418 hijzri) – january 1998, at a make shift room of under construction building zakera garden , block 2, 38/4 shantinagar, then it shifted to the official prayer room of block 2 , zakera garden (Now used as prayer room of women during jummah ) and continued till September 2005. From september 2005 the musallah was shifted to its present location, ground floor of 38/6 shantinagar. Initially it was comprised of several rooms of western side.It was gradually expanded and took its present shape in june 2014.

The islamic halakah started from october 2009 by Dr. matiur rahman. Then islamic scholars like Dr.abdullah jahangir , SK shahidullah khan madani , Muzaffor bin mohsin took part in the halakah. From march 2011 (approximately) Mufti kazi ibrahim was conducting the halakah on monthy basis. From 2013 november Eng.muhammed enamul haque, Dr muhamed saifullah ,Dr monzur elahi conducted the halakah on both weekly and monthly basis. The jummah prayer started from 5th Ramadan 1435 hizri – 4th july 2014 which was conducted by Dr.monzur elahi . It was registered as IOU’s exam center in August 2015.
For the reconstruction of Masjid as Siddique the renovation work started from 27 Aug 18,15 Zilkhajj 1439? Due to reconstruction work the daily prayer are being held at prayer room of Zakera Garden Block#2 from 25 Aug 18 and Weekly Jummuah Salat will be Held at Zakera Garden Block #1 from 31 August18.The existing 3 storied residential building (ground floor converted to masjid) will be reconstructed as multi storied Masjid cum Islamic centre, with facilities of maktab/ school/ halaqa/seminar etc. Short courses on tawjeed, Arabic language, Quran understanding, Islamic studies etc will be run as and when necessary. A rich Islamic library with audio visual Islamic materials will also be their In sha Allah The reconstructed masjid held its first salah on Eid’ul Adha at 12th August 2019 upon the completion of the first floor. Alhamdulillah, on 15 Nov 19 the jumuah salat started in new mosque khatib Dr Md. Saifullah.on 3 Jan20 waqtia salat started and from 18 Jan20 halaqa started by Dr monzur elahi
Due to covid-19 pandemic, all halaqa lectures, 5 daily prayers and jummuah salat was restricted since 20th March, 2020. The restrictions were relaxed after about one and half month. Since then, the halaqa started online basis through our official Youtube channel and Facebook page. The first online Halakah lecture was given in 21st Aug 2020, by Engg Enamul Huq. Islamic research and Dawah center was established on 26 Mar 21 at 8 th floor of the Majsid. The formal opening ceremony held on 2 Apr 21 by Shaikh Saifuddin Belal , Director of IDRC. Dr. Monzur elahi,. Dr Md Saifullah, Dr Rejaul Karim,Dr Abdullah Kafi were the key guests in the ceremony. The month long Daily halaqa started online from IDRC Shantinagar facebook page from 14 Apr 2021, 1Ramadan 1442 H.
